Project Overview
Redesigned the Video Tour Library webpage to improve navigation, content discoverability, and the overall user experience.
The updated design focused on creating a more intuitive browsing experience while aligning with current visual standards and business objectives.
The Challenge
The existing Video Tour Library had become difficult to navigate as the amount of content grew. Heat maps showed users not scrolling to the bottom of the page. They needed an easier way to find relevant videos, while the design required modernization to improve usability and support engagement goals.
Design Approach
The redesign focused on simplifying the user journey by prioritizing easier navigation, improving visual hierarchy, and creating a scalable structure capable of supporting a growing video library. Special attention was given to responsive behavior to ensure a seamless experience across desktop and mobile devices.
Existing Experience
In my original design, the page lacked clear content hierarchy and filtering options, making it difficult for users to quickly locate relevant video resources. With data from heat maps, I realized that users would get bored halfway through and not get to the other resources near the bottom of the page.
Issues
- Navigation challenges
- Information overload
- Outdated visual design
- Mobile usability concerns
New Design
In the redesign, I improved navigation for users specific software needs. No more scrolling for ages to see what is offered. Using data, I highlighted popular videos for easy access and more videos were viewable from an automatic slider.
Resolutions
- Improved content hierarchy
- Optimized video browsing
- Modern visual styling
- Mobile friendly user experience
